Career progression is at the core of any new employees personal development plan. Over the years we have found that the most successful path for software developers who later excel, is to start off within Technical support for 6 months to 2 years. During that time they get familiar with the software, the subject matter, what customers really want, and at the same time work closely with the software development team to design and implement enhancements fixes and new modules.
This path creates a more rounded and knowledgeable software developer, and as a result the solutions designed and developed by that developer have a great deal of subject matter expertise, and understanding of the customer use case. Ultimately, thats why the accuvio software is so easy for our customer to use.
Role:
The technical support role involves working as part of a team assisting customers with their data and reporting queries, by emails, ticket and by phone covering the UK, Europe and East Coast North America.
The role is tightly coupled with the software development team so in seasonal quiet periods the successful candidate will be more software developer than technical support.
A computer science, or software engineering degree or similar is required, and experience with .Net c# MS SQL is desirable although on the job training will be provided.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is looking to accelerate their transition from their current technical support role into a software development role within a 6-24 month period.
Salary: Negotiable based on experience.
